Regional Policy Workshops/Seminars

Four regional level workshop/ seminars in conjunction with the project “Strengthening National Policy Frameworks on Rural Energy (NEP/02/M03)” have been completed for the finalization of Rural Energy Sectoral Policy and Institutional Framework. The policy and institutional consultant Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has acted as the resource person for the facilitation and presentation on the draft documents. The workshops were targeted for seeking feedback and suggestions from the local level stakeholders who are involved directly or indirectly in the promotion of rural energy technologies. More than 300 participants took part in the workshops seminars and shared their valuable experiences and suggestions for the refinement of the draft document to be presented to the National Consultative meeting scheduled in the fourth quarter.
